Description off operation of Galileo

Galileo is the new generation of training simulators to more practical situations can be simulated. There are also select many faults of easy to very difficult occasional problems. Galileo is a car (part) reader and an interference generator in one.

The Galileo training system consists of a suitcase containing a vehicle system related electric drawing sheet with measuring points, control console, UTP cable and an earth bonding cable.

Connecting:

Connect the control console with the UTP cable to the left connector on the back of the case. Plug the power cable (left side) to. Connect the earth bonding cable to the ground wire (bottom line in the diagram with 6 measurement vans) and a free USB port of the laptop if you use PC-based lab scope.

Joystick:

Bottom right of the control panel is a joystick.

Click to right: Go to select the cursor (>) is at that moment.

click to the left: With this service, you will always come from the Home screen (except in "Drive" menu).

Upstairs: Cursor (>) gets up in selection but also for

                                  upshifting of gears (in the link).

Down: Cursor (>) stepping down in selection but also for

                                  downshifting the gears.

Start the software:

After power up, move the joystick to the right  to enter the main menu. This exists of:

Home Screen

> Drive

> fault Selection

> Diagnosis

Drive:

In this menu is displayed Engine speed, Vehicle speed and Gear selection. Only here: Click to the right to return to the main menu.

Faults Sel.

In this menu you can select problems on 3 levels. After the selection you will see at the bottom of the screen the selected level and fault. (4/5 Level 4 and problem 5).

Diagnosis:

Under this selection, all the functions of a diagnostic tester (reading device) can be carried out as with a normal device. There can be only occurs data on the screen when the "IGNITION" is "ON". The "ACTUATOR" test can only be carried out with the engine is stopped.

Combi features:

Under every situation or function on the screen you can always selected, start or perform another function. Thus for example you can start the engine or to car can be driven if you are not in the "drive" screen.

Start the engine:

The ignition is switched on by briefly pressing the "IGNITION" button. There's this button lights up an LED. Also light up the dashboard LEDs. Depending on the engine temperature, the system is operating the glow plugs shortly. The engine temperature is standard on from -40º up to operating temperature when the engine is running. With the engine stopped temperature falls. If you want fast a cold engine (-40 °), remove the power plug from the control console briefly. The engine will run as long as you press "START" button until the engine RPM rise to idle.

Accelerator and clutch pedal:

The best way to operate the levers use you two pointing fingers both from each side through the two guards.

Brake pedal:

When the car is running and during braking, the engine can be stalls if the clutch is not operating on time (as in real diving conditions).
